Mission of SORAT

1. Responsive to past, present and future challenges facing religion and culture formations in Southern Africa and Africa, the School of Religion and Theology empowers students for critical, informed, co-operative and trans-religious and inter-religious and cultural learning and research.

2. Recognizing both global and African challenges impacting on religion and culture, the School enables graduates to creatively, imaginatively and proactively participate in society.

3. Vocationally aimed, all graduates are multi-skilled for competitive participation in the interests of local and continental development as well as critical global resourcing.
